Ever programmed in Assembly?

Since I'm into modifying the old school Sonic the Hedgehog games, I know quite a bit of z80 assembler and some 68k assembler. Back in the day most video games were written in some assembly language, of course nowdays object oriented programming is definitely preferred since it's much easier to read. It's odd because I sort of understand assembly moreso than the higher level languages, I think sometimes certain syntax throws me off a bit depending on the language.

Modding is for those that play video games on PC. It's very hard to do it on consoles. I have no interest or knowledge on how to mod games. Although, I have seen God of War being modded on PC.
