WordPress or Xenforo?

If you're presented with the opportunity to choose between starting up your new forum with either WordPress or Xenforo forum software, which one would you prefer to make use of?

Why would you prefer WordPress over Xenforo or would you even decline both of them to use another different software completely?

If you were to decline using either WordPress or Xenforo, which software would you go for?

From everything that I have gathered so far on both WordPress and Xenforo, they are both very good for starting up a new forum. It's only that webmasters favor using Xenforo now. If I can afford making use of Xenforo, I'd like it ahead of WordPress.

You're absolutely right about the preference of webmasters shifting more towards to the use of XenForo more than others. For me, XenForo will always be my first priority.

I will say the same as above, XenForo is my first choice for many reasons.

I wouldn't use WordPress for a forum. XenForo has way too much to offer. Plus, if you ever wanted to transition to a different software in the future, wouldn't it be more difficult if you used WordPress?

I think from a member's viewpoint that XenForo is easier.

wpforo has gotten really good. They offer addons to make it closer to XF.

This is also my logical conclusion as well when it comes to using Xenforo or WordPress for forums. It never gets more better when you're using Xenforo. It others way more perks that's going to work great for your forum.

I would go for Xenforo I like most of their themes and pluggins and looks good for the purpose which I want to use them for.

WordPress knows for sure that a lot of people prefer how Xenforo is built especially when it comes to their addons. If they don't get theirs close to what's available on Xenforo, they will lose the market.
