I combined these two together since FluxBB is a fork of PunBB. PunBB has been around since 2004, whereas FluxBB has been around since 2008. These two forum software are meant to be lightweight, so many features you would normally see out of the box such as a private messaging system, media embeds, etc. aren't part of the core package. Instead you would have to install plugins in order to have these features. Have you ever used either one of these before? I prefer PunBB of the two since it visually looks better and it's easier to set up usergroup colors.
