I want to replace my WordPress site comments section with a forum. Should I use Xenforo or a word press forum solution.

I will be launching my WordPress site soon, so I was considering changing my comments section of blog posts to a forum. I know Xenforo offers a good Forum solution and can be integrated with WordPress.
My hesitation are based around how compatible it would be with word press website which includes all of its pluggins

Right now there is a bridge between Xenforo and Wordpress being worked on however be advise that it's in beta stages. You might be better off bridging another forum software, one that's been worked on for a while. If you really want to give XFtoWP a go, here is a link via the resources area from Xenforo's site. It's also $79 usd, so it's not cheap. Be sure to test things out on a separate install if you can, before adding it to a live site. Link to XFtoWP

Thanks for the incite mate , I only got into blogs , Forums and website development a few months ago so I am practically a newbie and I am looking to learn more and expand my horizon. I didn't know it would be that expensive but I will try out various options and stick to the one that is most convenient and affordable.

I have always been a fan of XenForo software when it comes to what I prefer to work with. WordPress is good on its own but I'm not comfortable with blogs winch is there the use of WordPress thrives well. I hope you get to set things properly the way you need it to be.
