• Attention buyers: Please take the time to read THIS
  • I have imposed a new requirement today limiting who can start and receive private conversations. This is in an effort to thwart scammers who have a zero post count but private message others offering to sell their licenses. The restriction is not strict, a user must post at least one (1) post in the forum before being allowed to start and/or receive private conversations. Read Forum Post

Per title. Due to the ratio of scammers to legit licenses that are/have been listed, we decided to no longer allow the sale, purchase, trade or any other listing that is involved with WHMCS licenses. All current and future WHMCS listings will be closed.

It is sad. I don't know what it is about those particular licenses, but I am not sure I ever seen a good deal go through on one of them in the past.

Dan what if the seller post the ticket # where they asked permission to sell the license, so the buyer can confirm with whmcs.
Do you think this may reduce some scammers?

Perhaps. We could make it a requirement to do so at listing time. Honestly, I don't have any experience with buying or selling of these licenses. My major concern is protection for the buyers. I wasn't even aware you could post a ticket id to show the validity of the license. Do you think it would help?

If you can add a thread for WHMCS licenses and require some fields like:
Owned, Date of purchase, Ticket ID (when they ask for permission to sell)
The way I understand whmcs only allows the original owner to sell their license on their forum.
If you are selling a license that you are not the original buyer you can sell it but not on their forums so extralicense.com will be the perfect place for this.

A quick note here for those who will read this thread, licenses approved by WHMCS for resale are not permitted to be resold on these forums.

If you're interested in selling your license, please open a ticket to WHMCS Customer Service first, to be sure you're eligible.

*Owned
*Older than 90 Days
*Purchased directly from WHMCS

Also, buyers should avoid paying for a resold WHMCS license in advance without knowing if the license can even be sold.

Please contact WHMCS Customer Support.
