Introducing the new vBulletin Issue Tracker.

Yesterday, we switched our issue tracker from JIRA to Bug Genie. Due to licensing changes, it wasn't feasible to continue using JIRA and allow customers access to the issue track. Switching to Bug Genie allows us to provide a more modern interface and maintain issue visibility to customers. While making the migration, it was decided to only move the open vBulletin 5 issues to Bug Genie. This contains everything that we are currently working on and will work on in the future.

Accessing the Issue Tracker is done through the same methods. You need a vBulletin.com forum account and after logging in at the forums, you can visit https://tracker.vbulletin.com. The system will automatically log you into the Issue Tracker. To create a new issue, click on the "Report an Issue" button in the center of the header.

  • Each issue should have the same VBV identifier that it had in JIRA. Old JIRA bookmarks should automatically redirect. If you don't have the complete URL, you can search for these issues by typing in their VBV ID in the search box.
  • If you want to see what we are looking working on currently, please visit the vBulletin 5 Roadmap page.
  • You can view the issues that you have reported by using the user menu that drops down from your avatar in the top right corner.
  • Subscriptions or Watched status was something we could not transfer. However you can still subscribe to individual issues by clicking the star icon in the header of each issue.
  • Attachments didn't transfer but we will maintain the attachments for each issue internally.
  • New issues can be created with Markdown or MediaWiki Syntax to allow for a richer expression of ideas and bugs.
  • The new system also allows for drag and drop to add attachments.
