Phpfox Lifetime License Discussion

I hate to tell you but if you are from the USA & most other Places like the USA then their is nothing you can do about moxi9/php fix changing their policy of license transfers because here in the USA they dont even need to let you resell a License if they dont want to.

you giving your account wont work they wont let ya change the e-mails on php fox accounts any more
That makes my license just as valuable as it sells for on their site.

I only want 375$. You just won't get the 30 day start-up support.

Sorry but you are NOT right.

Moxi9 AB is a Swedish company located in southern Sweden and NOT USA.

Their address: Moxi9 AB Box 4047 20311 Malmo, Sweden

And I am also based in Europe, we have the same law here which they are breaking.

>> Its a lifetime like your selling & was $525 but Im still waiing on the invoice & all that

Really can't believe you. Show me an evidence.

I relize Moxi9 is not from the USA but I dont think it matters where they are from I think the law depends on the place the buyer is from not seller but I could be wrong.
Sorry but the law applicable is from where is company and NOT buyer.

Also they write on website that applicable law is Sweden (and Sweden is not USA, if you don't know).

"The Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without reference to its conflict of law principles, and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden."

They had or were planing to put an office in California I think it was on 2013, Don't know what happen.
LOL, phpfox is just 2-3 person behind, what you think is? Is not a big company.

They could also have office in California (but I am pretty sure this will never happen), but the applicable law is still Sweden, Europe.

>> Also I really do not care if you belive me or not but I really did find one for $525

Why you don't show me a proof? A payment slip or screenshot of that amount?

Or also you have a fake account here? You are also phpfox/data66? I will not be surprise by this.

Im not a lawer so I dont know much about how the law but you may be right it may depend on where they company is from I was just saying it could also depend on where the buyer is from because I do know here in the USA some laws do work this way.

Also as far as the company in cali I think this was when php fox v1 came out back in 2005 then they either moved the company to another place or sold it to someone that was not in the USA because they have not been in the USA for years.

I have been a customer with PHP Fox On/Off ever since 2005 so this is how I know

Another thing is all your guys who have a Phpfox Lifetime License you want to sell need to start looking at it this way.

1. When you sell your Phpfox Lifetime License that buyser becomes a new PHP Fox client & is not you (the person who bought it from PHP Fox) so in this case PHP Fox or any other company should have the right to change the policy and make the new client go by the new policy.

2. You need to start looking at this from a Developer side & not just your side because how would you feel if you were the one who made PHP Fox and everyone was reselling the Lifetime License they nolonger sell. Everytime this happens they lose 100's of $ so I cant not blame them for not wanting it & this is also why every company no matter who they are or from should have the right to say no to reselling their script/software especialy when it comes to a Lifetime License.

3. All PHP Fox/Moxi9 need to do to put a stop to this is Change the name of PHP Fox to whatever they want & stop supporting PHP Fox this would force everyone to go buy the new policy so when it comes down to it their is allways a way around this anyways.

Why you say all this crap?

When you purchase something with certain CONDITION (in this case LIFETIME support and upgrade)

then you stipulated a contract and this contract can't be breaken.

They can change policy, privacy, license, etc... for NEW customer, but NOT for existing contract!

I don't want be rude, but as you say you are not lawyer so is better that you shut up.

Once you buy a product under particular conditions, they can NOT change it afterwards.

That's breaking a contract and is illegal.

They can change their TOS for new customers but NOT for existing licenses.

Also they must allow selling of software license to EU citizens, highest EU court said.

The software and its license (thus, INCLUDING lifetime free updates and lifetime support) remains the same once you sell it to somebody else.

Official document from EU court: http://curia.europa.eu/jcms/upload/docs/application/pdf/2012-07/cp120094en.pdf

You can click "full text" in the PDF to read the verdict from the court completely.

You MUST allow your customers to sell their licenses to other people.

I am a Web Developer, I was a third party developer of phpfox, so I know what I am saying.

When they sold LIFETIME license then they should know that they need to offer LIFETIME support and upgrade. Your talk is seen that protect them and therefore believe that you are of phpFox.

3. All PHP Fox/Moxi9 need to do to put a stop to this is Change the name of PHP Fox to whatever they want & stop supporting PHP Fox this would force everyone to go buy the new policy so when it comes down to it their is allways a way around this anyways.
Yes, ONLY if they change name, but currently the name is still PHPFOX.

I have split off the discussions relating to PHPFox's/Moxi9's Lifetime licenses.

I can see if they went and took away the Lifetime License for everyone but Im talking about new clients not the clients who have them now. Like I was saying when you sell a PHP Fox License ( Lifetime or not) then the person who buys this License becomes a new client at PHP Fox so why shouldnt they need to follow any new policy that has changed?

Stop quoting my in posts that I have nothing to do with and reply to the personal conversation, eh?

A part that you duplicate three time the same reply, let me explain to you.

1) You need to provide the same condition forever, you can't change them.

2) You should allow to sold license to someone else.

This two are law of EU.

I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from PHP Fox & any script/software Moxi9 makes because I can tell you Moxi9 is nothing but a greedy company that will do anything they can just to rip you off & scam you into doing stuff just to make you pay more then you need to pay. The reason I say this is I have a PHP Fox account that has a license that has Lifetime upgrades & support because it was bought before 2008 & at that time PHP Fox had Lifetime Upgrades & Support anyways I sent them a email and asked if they can change my email for the client account because they wont let you do this in the client area & they told me that to change my email I need to do a license transfer (doing this would take away the LifeTime Upgrades & Support I have now) all I want to do is change the email nothing else on my account & this is not right I will be contacting a lawyer about this because they don't have the right to do this to me & its just a way to scam clients like my self who do have LifeTime Upgrades & Support

Hi Jamie, moved your post to the existing discussion regarding Lifetime LIcenses.

Ok. You can start another thread about Moxi then if you want to. You weren't really selling anything so it didn't belong in the "swap shop" section.
